Turn a new corner - Dishtowel

Do you enjoy corner to corner crochet?  Have you ever made something in corner to corner?  would you like to try working in the diagonal direction?

So many people are fond of corner to corner.  Once, I made a big blanket corner to corner, so I'm less fond of making corner to corner.  The nice part about corner to corner is that you can adjust the size as you go.  If you were making a blanket you could decide for yourself when you would like to start decreasing.  If you are familar with corner to corner, you might find this easy to follow.  It is corner to corner but with dc2tog twice rather than normal double crochets.

This is also a hanging dishtowel.  We will leave one open block to be used to pull the dishtowel through when we hang it.

Materials:
Cotton yarn in 2 colors

  

Hook size = 5.00mm/ H

Stitches and Abbreviations:

dc2tog = double crochet two together; Yarn over and insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and and pull through the first two, yarn over and insert your hook into the next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through the first two, yarn over and pull through all three loops on your hook
ss = slip stitch, insert your hook into the stitch (or into the chain 3 space in this case), pull the yarn through the loop that is on your hook.

If you want to do normal c2c, just start with color A, change colors at row 6, continue with new color on row 7, change colors at row 8 continue until row 14, stop increasing at row 14.  continue until row 20, at row 20 on the 4th block, chain 3 and connect to the next block, this is an open block, continue the rest of row 20 as normal

BorderAdd color b to the corner and sc, dc in between the blocks and in the space between the dc2togs, when you get all the way around,at the corners sc, dc, sc dc in each corner. when you get all the way around, tie off and weave in the ends.
