Coffee for your Sweetheart

Valentine's Day is for everyone you love.  I enjoy giving little gifts to my family for Valentine's day.  This day shouldn't just be about cards.  So for your coffee loving friends or family members, here is a coffee cup cozy to love and gift.

After you finish, consider putting 

your cup cozy on a product holder to gift it

to your friends.

I've made a couple of new display inserts that work nicely with this cozy.

Materials:

Cotton yarn
     

Hook 6.00MM
CLOVER 1049/J Amour Crochet Hook, Size J, 6.0mm
Stitches needed: half double crochet - hdc = Yarn over, insert hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through all three loops at once.


Chain 24
Row 1:  hdc in 2nd chain from your hook, hdc in all stitches across, ch 1 and turn (23)
Row 2:  hdc in all stitches, ch 1 and turn (23)
Row 3 - 9: Repeat row 2

Leave a long tail to attach the sides together.
Before you seam it up, add embellishments.

For Purple coffee cup sleeve. 

Make 2 purple hearts 

Leave long tails to attach to the coffee cup cozy.












For Yellow coffee cup holder.

Make 1 yellow heart.

Leave  a long tail to attach to the coffee cup cozy. Seam up the sides together.  Attach yellow yarn at the bottom and slip stitch around.  Tie off and weave in the ends.  Attach yellow yarn at the top and sc around the top.  Tie off and weave in the ends.

For the coral coffee cup cozy, make one small heart and one medium heart.
